Hi all,
This is Mikle Scribe's daughter Michelle. My husband Philip and I are creating a memorial page to my dear Father. If anyone has anything they would like to add or a poem they wish to share about Micheal James Stanley-Brown Lanahan or Scribes. please email me mpnickols@gmail.com, or on Facebook as "Michelle Nickols" (Sydney, Australia) or even here on this thread.
I am trying to find some of his old poems because when my computer crashed I lost those too. He wrote a special one for me called Michelle that he wrote whilst my mother had taken me overseas away from him. It goes without saying how important gaining a copy of this poem is to me right now.
I wish my father was still here but I feel I can stay close with this group. Thanks everyone in advance from Sydney Australia, we will be visiting Poole, Dorset England as soon as possible.
With love and sadness,
Michelle

Mike was a great man, and his poetry was wonderful. RIP Mike;

I remember Mikle fondly for the way he used to insult me and so many others on the old PoetryShared site. I recall his calling me filthy and degenerate. How he loved getting me banned on the old site.
Ah! Sweet memories...

I am so very sorry to hear that Mikle has passed away. I will always remember him fondly for his outspokenness and his encouragement. He helped me to believe in my writing and I will always be greatful to him. So very very sorry for your loss

It is indeed sad when anyone dies. I have vivid memories of Mikle's startling rudeness to me on the old site. His hostility will be much missed.

I shall look forward to reading some of Mikle's "poems" again. They were always good for a laugh.

It seems Mikle aka Stanley is remembered with much amusement for his pomposity.
