I have it down to a tee,
See I was first in hospital at the age of three,
Having adenoids removed is no accident I hear you say,
But having them grow back removed again at seven, NO WAY,
Aged ten my chin I did rip and tear three stitches to compare,
At eleven my knee torn open eleven stitches to repair,
Fourteen my first biggy, boy meets car only one winner,
Nine bones broken, pins and plates to put back together,
Reaching sixteen I fall from a tower scaffold from twelve feet,
To hospital once more I now have my own wing,
Hair line fractures my spine I now wear,
How much more could my body bear?
Eighteen I now pass my driving test,
Who let him loose on the road I hear you protest,
Still listen to this, twice, yes twice, I crash on the day I pass,
Two months later a crash of magnitude compared to the last,
Twenty I turn, another car I crash losing it on a bend,
Police come and question my driving, my sense,
Twenty six admitted to hospital with a painful testicle,
Surgeon appears fully gowned my little chap did shrink and shrivel,
Reaching mid-thirties my eye does swell,
Looks like I have been boxing not very well,
Strange virus unknown twenty pills daily to take,
OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE,
A push bike I now try,
I know, I know, I don’t know why,
Knocked off by a pickup, collided with a car bending my tyre,
Slipped on oil breaking my thumb it looked pretty dire,
From football forced to retire,
Ligaments pulled, stretched, body given up but not the desire,
Rode up the back of a parked car catching extreme air,
Headache was all I obtained but my bike not so well fared,
I am still here amazing as that would seem,
My mother’s grey hair my fault she does deem,
Body creaks and cracks in places I have given up trying to trace,
Think I will see if the Health and Safety department has me a place.
All based on true events ).
