We have all wished that wishes came true, But if wishes were piglets, what would you do? If wishes were piglets, what a change 'twould make, No candles to light on your wee birthday cake.
Wishing wells would be sealed up tight, And we wouldn't wish on stars at dead of night; Children would get piglets instead of sweets, And little pink creatures would swarm down the streets. Sows, piglets, and tusky old boars, Would cover the mountains, the fields and the shores. All over the earth for miles and miles, There'd be zillions of pigs in pigletty piles. We couldn't help but wish them gone, So the pigs would keep coming on and on.

I enjoy a bit of doggerel.

I prefer dogging to doggerel.

At teatime in my ward, there's more piggery than here.
