Pvt. Reason has deserted -
Cpl. Judgement was shot down by
the enemy's expert sniper Maj. Lust,
and it was just too much.
So Reason fled by the back door,
followed eagerly by Pvt. Caution.

A covert ops crew led by Sgt. Regret
(who had been colluding for some time
with Gnl. Repression, after being
introduced by mutual friend Lt. Nostalgia)
deftly dispatched the brainless but
effective comms team of Cpls. Taste and Touch.

This ruthless duo swiftly and silently
drew LCpl. Foresight into the eyeline
of our sniper, whereby Lust overexcitedly
(one might even say frenziedly) smothered
the hapless LCpl. and his companion
Pvt Fear with a generous licking
of deadly shot.

Having forced Sensible Regiment into
a hurried retreat, Maj. Lust rejoined
his superior officer, Gnl. Urgency,
at Loins HQ for an entertaining debrief...
and with paradoxical sadness and delight
the vile betrayers Repression and Nostalgia
were disposed of with a single deed each,
to be seamlessly replaced by the newly
promoted Cpts. Freedom and Fun.
